I bought some soft as soft teal cord a few weeks ago with this project in mind and it didn’t disappoint! I followed these super clear instructions to alter the back of the already cute Deer and Doe Belladone dress. Although I was nervous about altering a pattern, it was ever so simple and I’m so pleased with the result. I topstitched around the heart to keep the lining in place and also lined the skirt (remember to change the shape to allow for the pockets…)
I can see me wearing this A Very Great Deal as the days grow chillier and it makes me a tiny bit less miserable about the end of summer! It’ll be a brilliant scuffingleavesinthepark dress…

That is so pretty! How funny, I was JUST thinking this morning about how hard or easy it would be to make a heart cut-out dress. Would a star shape be possible either?!x
